Can you install a stairlift outside?
Answer: Yes, yes you can.
Whilst having a ramp installed outside your property is definitely a quicker method of gaining entry to your property, sometimes the space just isn’t available unless you completely revamp your front garden and remove the staircase restricting access. The good news though is that we have a number of stairlift solutions suitable for use outside your property.
Unlike internal stairlifts which often require to be fixed to a wall, the external stairlift can be fixed straight to steps. This means if the staircase leading to your home has no sides and just handrails, fixing a stairlift is no problem at all.

Think Your Staircase Is Too Steep For A Stairlift?
Recently we installed an external stairlift where the entry to the property was very steep, but we were able to install it without any problems.
The external stairlifts we offer have been designed to be as convenient as possible. The seat and arms fold away to allow space for others to climb the stairs when it is not in use, the seat swivels to allow you step free access in and out of the chair, and it comes with a protective cover to keep the seat dry in the winter and protected from the heat in the summer.
The stairlift is built to last and adheres to all the latest European safety standards for stairlifts. It is low maintenance and always reliable.
